Run Time

NiMH Battery: 12+ hrs minimum at 2000 ml/min and up to 25 inches water back pressure; dependent on media used. See Table 1.

Power Supply Rechargeable 4.8-V nickel-metal hydride (NiMH) battery pack, 3.3-Ah capacity or
A battery eliminator is available (see Ordering Information); use voids the UL Listing for intrinsic safety.
Battery Charging Time
(varies with battery capacity
and level of discharge)

6 to 8.5 hrs using PowerFlex Charger
Temperature Operating: 32 to 104 F (0 to 40 C)
Storage: -4 to 113 F (-20 to 45 C)
Charging: 50 to 113 F (10 to 45 C)
Humidity 0 to 95% non-condensing
Flow Fault

If pump is unable to compensate for longer than 15 seconds due to excessive back pressure, the pump enters flow fault. During flow fault, the pump stops, the fault icon appears on the display, and elapsed time remains on the display. Auto-restart is attempted up to 5 times. Elapsed time information will be lost on restart.

Low Battery Fault LCD displays low battery icon and pump shuts down. LCD remains on.
LCD Time Display LCD display shows elapsed pump run time in minutes up to 99,999.
LCD Indicator LCD always remains on. Displayed elapsed run time information resets when pump is started.

AirChek 52 Low Flow Capabilities
The full range of flow rates is available in
one lightweight, low-cost, heavy-duty sampler.

The AirChek 52 Sample Pump is a fully versatile sampler that can be used for low flow (5 to 500 ml/min) sampling. Use the pump with the All-in-One Adjustable Tube Holder with built-in Constant Pressure Controller (CPC) for single-tube sampling or with a multiple Adjustable Tube Holder and the CPC accessory (Cat. No. 226-26-CPC) for multiple tube sampling.

All-in-One Low Flow Holder connected to Airchek 52

For multiple tubes: Simple to use, the CPC fits into the sampling train tubing, allowing the pump to operate in a constant pressure mode. In the low flow mode, a multiple adjustable tube holder can be used to collect up to four tube samples simultaneously and at different flow rates. The flow rate at each intake of the adjustable tube holders can be set from 5 to 500 ml/min (dependent on back pressure). Multiple-tube sampling reduces time in the field and uses fewer pumps.

Lightweight, Durable

Measuring approximately 5 x 3 x 1.75 inches (12.7 x 7.6 x 4.4 cm) and weighing only 20 ounces (567 grams), the small size, light weight, and durable construction allows the AirChek 52 to withstand the rigors of on-worker use time and time again. Rechargeable NiMH or NiCad batteries provide a reliable power source which can be restored overnight. The AirChek 52 is the lightweight, inexpensive workhorse pump designed for rugged and repeated use. Now the full range of flow rates is available in one lightweight, low-cost, heavy-duty sampler to use with:

  • Sorbent sample tubes and Long-duration detector tubes for collecting most hazardous chemical gases and vapors from the air
  • Cyclones for collecting respirable dust
  • IOM samplers for collecting inhalable dust
  • Filters for collecting total dust, asbestos, or chemical hazards
  • Impingers for collecting reactive chemicals into liquids
