SKC designed its VOST Traps specifically to meet EPA Method 0031 in SW-946 for Volatile Organic Sampling Trains (VOSTs). Low-background and pressure drop VOST Traps are ideal for sampling VOCs in gaseous effluent from stationary emission sources such as hazardous waste incinerators.

Volatile organic sampling trains (VOSTs) are specified by U.S. EPA 0031 in SW-846 for sampling VOCs in gaseous effluent from stationary emission sources such as hazardous waste incinerators. SKC VOST traps meet method specifications. SKC VOST traps are tested for background and pressure drop and feature Swagelok fittings and PTFE ferrules. Traps supplied are not thermally purged.

 

EPA 0031 calls for three sorbent tubes:

  • One Anasorb 747 sorbent tube (Custom tube available from SKC)
  • Two Tenax sorbent tubes (SKC Sorbent tube Cat. No. 226-134)

Because of their low background levels, these specified sorbents are useful for collecting low concentrations of VOCs.
