Tube Holder/Cover for Face Level Sampling Headset

With its “headband behind the neck” design, the SKC Face Level Sampling Headset (Cat. No. 225-6200, sold separately) provides the comfort of a traditional headset with the benefit of holding media in the breathing zone for accurate measurements.  Dual flexible sampling arms provide for parallel simultaneous samples and allow measurements inside personal protective equipment such as welding helmets and masks. The headset holds a sorbent tube with Tube Holder and Cover accessory (above) and/or a Mini Sampler (Cat. No. 225-6201, sold separately) with filter for assessing inhalable manganese (validated) and other hazardous metals in welding fume. The Mini Sampler and the Face Level Sampling Headset have been identified in ISO 10882-1:2011 as the best mounting arrangement for sampling particulates (metals) in the breathing zone inside a welder’s face mask. Both were developed in a research project partly funded by the Swedish Work Environment Authority at Stockholm University, Sweden.
