ULTRA Passive Samplers, for VOCs, Tenax TA Overview

ULTRA Passive Sampler for sub-ppb level VOCs and SVOCs, prefilled with Tenax TA, 20/35 mesh, 253 mg in each compartment, with built-in blank, limited shelf-life, pk/5

Storage at  ≤ 39.2 F (4 C) required.

The ULTRA® Passive Sampler offers a choice of four sorbents for environmental air sampling. The ULTRA samples by diffusion and provides low ppb to ppt detection of compounds, including semi-volatile organic compounds (SVOCs). Use the ULTRA as an alternative to stainless steel canisters for green building certification, fenceline monitoring, product emissions, vapor intrusion, and near roadway, traffic, public health/asthma, and school zone studies.

Applications

  • Public health/asthma studies
  • Near roadway air quality studies
  • Volatiles from soil gas, biological sources, and water
  • Traffic studies
  • Fenceline monitoring
  • Monitoring pollution migration from industrial processes
  • Odor profiling in fragrance, food, and flavor industries
  • Product emissions
  • Emergency response to oil spills and leaks
  • Green Building certification
  • Vapor intrusion
  • School zone studies

Callouts Ultra Rear View

SKC introduces ULTRA Passive Samplers — the creative evolution of indoor and ambient air sampling. The patented* ULTRA samples by diffusion and provides low ppb to ppt detection of compounds, including semi-volatile organic compounds (SVOCs). ULTRA Passive Samplers are an economical alternative to stainless steel canisters for EPA TO-15 sampling and show excellent sampling correlation in side-by-side studies with canisters. Operation is as easy as sliding the cover open to start sampling and closing it to stop sampling. ULTRA Passive Samplers are also a convenient alternative to and have a higher uptake rate than thermal desorption tubes

* U.S. Patent No. 6,607,581

Side-by-side performance studies show excellent sampling correlations between ULTRA samplers and stainless steel canisters. Compare and see that ULTRA passive samplers are the economical, convenient alternative to stainless steel canisters.

* MRL — minimum reporting level: These can vary with each laboratory; check with the laboratory.
Indoor — low velocity conditions (< 5 cm/sec)
Outdoor — 5 to 200 cm/sec, low air velocities, typically found in indoor air, result in lower uptake rates in passive samplers
